Oil Coalescing Separator – An Efficient Tool for Removing Oil from Water
What makes the Oil Coalescing Separator such an efficient tool is its ability to remove oils from water without any moving parts. The unique M.W. Watermark coalescing media placed in the path of the wastewater stream is the reason why it works so well. As the oil and water flow through the coalescing media, oil droplets impinge on the media surface and coalesce.
The coalesced oil breaks free from the coalescing media and rises to the surface of the water in the separation chamber. The separated oil then decants into an isolated oil chamber where it can be removed manually or automatically via a transfer pump. Virtually oil free water travels under an oil reservoir baffle, over an adjustable weir and into a clean water effluent chamber. The water is gravity discharged from the effluent chamber.
The M.W. Watermark Oil Coalescing Separator is designed to remove non-emulsified oils, diesel, gasoline, and other fuels from a waste stream, resulting in an effluent quality of 10mg/l or less of contaminants 20 microns and larger.
