How to Improve Removal Efficiencies in a DAF Clarifier
Chemical pre-treatment of wastewater is a best practice prior to a Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) system.
DAF Clarifier – Options for Pre-Treatment
M.W. Watermark offers two pre-treatment options to effectively mix chemicals for pH adjustment, coagulation and flocculation addition.
Our Snake-Blend™ system has a compact design with no moving parts and can be installed on the side or end of a DAF clarifier.
A Chemical Addition Tank (CAT) offers thorough mixing due to greater contact time, requires less chemistry and allows the user to witness immediate results from changes in chemistry.
Both options generate large floc particles to improve a DAF’s removal efficiencies.
